Hello, my name is Gillian Berridge.   I’m an experienced, Private Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) who has worked for many years with children and adolescents in private practice. Before branching out into private practise, I worked for several years as a Children’s Speech and Language therapist in the NHS.

Children are individuals and can present with a range of Speech, Language,  and Communication Needs.  I am often approached by parents who share that they, ‘Don’t know where to start’, and that they ‘Aren’t sure how to support their child’s needs’.  This is where I like to offer my help and service.

My independent practice is small and bespoke.  I have kept it this way to ensure I can give the time, energy, and resources,  to support the children I work with.  It also enables me to build a closer relationship with parents, as well as creating a motivational and fun environment for the children I work with. I also strive to work closely with other professionals to ensure a ‘joined up’ approach to therapy.

Employing someone privately is often a big step to take.  However, if you are thinking about private Speech and Language Therapy for your preschool, school age or, adolescent child, and live in Rugby, Lutterworth, Hinkley or, on the Warwickshire, Leicestershire or Northamptonshire border, then why not give me a ring to see how I might help.

Taking the first step

If you think your child may need support, you are welcome to Contact Me for a free telephone consultation. You can either call or email me to arrange a suitable time to discuss your concerns.

I am always happy to chat through with parents how I might support their child, so that an informed decision can be made in relation to the next steps,  and whether private therapy will add value to a child’s development.  There is no obligation when calling me, I am happy to ensure you have the opportunity to consider all the pathways available to you,  in relation to securing support for your child.

If we do  identify from our discussion that your child might benefit from speech and language therapy support,  then I can discuss with you  the options available. If  you decide you want to go ahead, we can then book an initial assessment.  If you need more time that’s fine too, as I appreciate it’s an important decision.

You can find out a little more about me, my qualification and how I work on my About Me page. You can also read about what other parents have thought about the service I offer on the  Testimonials  Page.  I’m here to help if needed.
